The VTE Paguro 5000 is a compact high-speed marine diesel generator for 60Hz onboard AC installations. It produces 4 kW continuous output, or 4.5 kVA, at 3,600 RPM and uses a Yanmar L100 single-cylinder diesel engine with a water-cooled brushless alternator. Confirm the ordered alternator configuration before purchase because 60Hz output options can differ by market and may be supplied for 115V or 230V single-phase systems.
The generator uses freshwater cooling through a heat exchanger and a self-priming seawater pump. It is housed in a soundproof composite capsule and includes remote controls with operating status and safety protection. A correctly designed marine installation is required, including fuel, cooling-water, exhaust, ventilation, starting battery, AC distribution, shore-power isolation, grounding, and circuit protection.
Key Specifications
- Compact high-speed marine diesel generator for 60Hz single-phase AC systems.
- Provides 4 kW continuous output, equivalent to 4.5 kVA.
- Uses a Yanmar L100 single-cylinder diesel engine with approximately 435 cc displacement.
- Operates at 3,600 RPM for the 60Hz configuration.
- Uses a brushless water-cooled alternator with freshwater heat-exchanger and raw-water cooling circuits.
- Fuel consumption is listed at approximately 1.2 L per hour at 75% load.
- Uses a reinforced composite soundproof capsule with a listed noise level of approximately 53 dB(A) at 7 m.
- Measures approximately 600 mm by 430 mm by 500 mm and weighs approximately 105 kg.
System Integration
This generator requires complete diesel fuel feed and return plumbing, raw-water intake and strainer, wet exhaust system, ventilation, a 12V starting-battery circuit, AC distribution panel, shore-power transfer switch or interlock, grounding and bonding, and correctly rated marine cabling.
Confirm the exact voltage, phase, and frequency required by onboard equipment before ordering. Calculate continuous electrical demand, simultaneous loads, power factor, and motor-starting surge from air conditioning, battery chargers, refrigeration, pumps, watermakers, and galley equipment.
Installation Considerations
Install the generator on a rigid vibration-isolated foundation with clearance for oil service, fuel filters, cooling system, raw-water pump, exhaust, electrical connections, and capsule access. Provide safe exhaust routing, uninterrupted seawater flow, protected fuel plumbing, and adequate ventilation. Test voltage, frequency, load response, cooling, alarms, shutdowns, and shore-power transfer isolation during commissioning.
Before Ordering
Confirm required continuous and surge load within 4 kW, exact 115V or 230V single-phase 60Hz configuration, available 600 mm by 430 mm by 500 mm installation space, structural support for approximately 105 kg, diesel fuel layout, raw-water intake, exhaust route, ventilation capacity, starting-battery circuit, remote-control cable route, AC distribution and transfer-switch design, grounding plan, service access, and qualified marine-generator installation requirements before purchase.
