The VTE Paguro 4000 4EY is a compact 60Hz marine diesel generator for vessels using 115V single-phase AC power. It delivers 3.2 kW continuous output at 3,600 RPM and uses a Yanmar L70 single-cylinder diesel engine with a water-cooled brushless synchronous alternator. The generator is enclosed in a reinforced fiberglass sound capsule and is suited to small vessels with modest AC loads.

The Paguro 4000 uses freshwater cooling through a heat exchanger and a self-priming raw-water pump. It includes a 12V electric starter, 8A battery charger, and remote control system with low-oil-pressure and over-temperature shutdown. A complete installation requires fuel plumbing, raw-water intake, exhaust, ventilation, starting battery, AC distribution, shore-power transfer or interlock, grounding, and marine-grade circuit protection.

- Measures approximately 610 mm by 460 mm by 560 mm and weighs approximately 95 kg with the sound capsule.

System Integration

This generator requires a complete marine electrical and mechanical installation. Add diesel fuel feed and return plumbing, raw-water intake and strainer, wet exhaust components, ventilation, starting-battery circuit, AC breakers, shore-power transfer switch or interlock, grounding and bonding, and appropriately rated 115V 60Hz cabling.

Confirm that onboard equipment is compatible with 115V, 60Hz single-phase power and that normal running demand remains within 3.2 kW. Consider motor-starting surge from refrigeration, pumps, battery chargers, air conditioning, and galley appliances before selecting generator capacity.

Installation Considerations

Mount the generator on a rigid vibration-isolated base with access for oil, fuel filters, raw-water pump service, exhaust connections, electrical terminals, and sound-capsule removal. Maintain reliable cooling-water supply, safe exhaust routing, protected fuel plumbing, and adequate engine-room ventilation. Test AC output, frequency, cooling, alarm and shutdown functions, exhaust integrity, and load response during commissioning.

Before Ordering

Confirm required continuous and surge load within 3.2 kW, 115V single-phase 60Hz compatibility, available installation space, structural support for approximately 95 kg, diesel fuel-system layout, raw-water intake, exhaust route, ventilation capacity, starting-battery circuit, remote-panel cable route, AC distribution and transfer-switch design, grounding plan, service access, and qualified marine-generator installation requirements before purchase.
