The VTE Paguro 14000 is a high-speed marine diesel generator designed for 120V or 240V, 60Hz single-phase AC systems. In its 60Hz configuration, it delivers up to 14 kW continuous output, or 16 kVA, at 3,600 RPM. It uses a three-cylinder Lombardini LDW 1003 diesel engine and a water-cooled brushless synchronous alternator enclosed in a soundproof fiberglass capsule.
The generator uses a closed freshwater-cooling circuit with heat exchanger and self-priming seawater pump. It includes a remote multifunction digital control panel with load indication, hour meter, frequency and engine-speed display, plus automatic low-oil-pressure and over-temperature shutdown. Correct installation requires marine-grade fuel, cooling, exhaust, ventilation, electrical distribution, and shore-power transfer arrangements.
Key Specifications
- High-speed marine diesel generator for 120V or 240V, 60Hz single-phase AC systems.
- Produces up to 14 kW continuous output, or 16 kVA, in the 60Hz 3,600 RPM configuration.
- Uses a Lombardini LDW 1003 three-cylinder diesel engine with 1,028 cc displacement.
- Uses a water-cooled brushless synchronous alternator with capacitor-regulated output.
- Employs freshwater cooling through a heat exchanger and self-priming seawater cooling.
- Specific fuel consumption is listed at approximately 0.35 L per kW per hour.
- Includes remote digital controls with load indication, hour meter, frequency or RPM data, and protective shutdown functions.
- Measures approximately 770 mm by 460 mm by 620 mm and has a listed dry weight of approximately 180 kg for the supplied specification.
System Integration
This generator requires diesel fuel feed and return plumbing, raw-water intake and strainer, exhaust system, ventilation, starting battery, AC distribution panel, transfer switch or shore-power interlock, grounding and bonding, circuit protection, and correctly rated marine cabling. A qualified marine-generator technician should complete installation and commissioning.
Confirm the electrical system requires 120V or 240V at 60Hz before purchase. The same generator family may be supplied in different voltage and frequency configurations, so verify the exact model specification, output connection, phase arrangement, and load requirement rather than relying on the product family name alone.
Installation Considerations
Mount the unit on a rigid vibration-isolated foundation with service clearance for filters, oil, coolant, impeller, belt, electrical connections, and sound-shield removal. Provide unrestricted air supply, safe exhaust routing, reliable raw-water flow, protected fuel plumbing, and a compliant AC transfer arrangement. Test voltage, frequency, shutdown functions, cooling performance, exhaust integrity, and load response during final commissioning.
Before Ordering
Confirm required continuous and surge electrical load, 120V or 240V 60Hz compatibility, exact output phase configuration, available 770 mm by 460 mm by 620 mm installation space, structural support for the specified unit weight, diesel fuel layout, raw-water intake, exhaust route, ventilation capacity, starting-battery circuit, remote-panel cable route, AC distribution and transfer-switch design, grounding plan, and qualified installation requirements before purchase.
