Lowrance Elite FS 9 Chartplotter/Fishfinder – No Transducer

The Lowrance Elite FS 9 gives the helm a larger 9-inch multi-touch display with C-MAP Contour+ US/Canada charts, built-in CHIRP, DownScan, SideScan, and ActiveTarget support. This display-only package includes no transducer, so it suits an existing Lowrance installation or a buyer who wants to choose the sonar transducer separately. Ethernet, NMEA 2000, WiFi, and Bluetooth support give it room to grow on a fishing boat.

Key Features

- 9-inch high-resolution multi-touch display – Provides more chart and sonar viewing area than 7-inch units.
- 800 x 480 resolution – Displays essential navigation and fishfinding information while keeping the unit manageable for many consoles.
- CHIRP, DownScan, and SideScan sonar – Supports multiple sonar views when paired with a suitable transducer.
- ActiveTarget support – Allows expansion with compatible live-sonar equipment.
- NMEA 2000, Ethernet, WiFi, and Bluetooth – Provides several confirmed connection options for a connected Lowrance system.

Who Is This For?

This unit suits coastal fishing boats, bass boats, bay boats, and cruisers that need a larger display and plan to build a Lowrance network. It is a good fit for buyers who already have a transducer or want to select one based on hull and fishing requirements.

It is not ideal for buyers who want a complete fishfinder package ready to install, because the transducer is not included. It is also more display than a small skiff may need.

Compatibility

Confirmed compatibility includes C-MAP Contour+ US/Canada charts, ActiveTarget, NMEA 2000, full Ethernet, WiFi, and Bluetooth. The supplied information does not identify a specific transducer model, NMEA 0183, radar, or autopilot system. No named incompatible system was provided; verify Lowrance transducer and network requirements before installation.

The Elite FS 9 is the larger-screen alternative to the Elite FS 7, giving you more room for charts and split-screen sonar while retaining ActiveTarget and broad networking. The concrete trade-off is the missing transducer: you have flexibility to choose the right sonar hardware, but the total installation cost and compatibility work remain your responsibility. Choose it for a planned Lowrance system rather than a complete bundle.
