The Humminbird HELIX 7 GPS CHIRP SI G4 combines a 7-inch 1024 x 600 color display with standard Side Imaging, Down Imaging, Dual Spectrum CHIRP, an included XNT 9 HW SI T transducer, and Humminbird Basemap. Its keypad control gives physical operation on a moving boat, while the included transducer provides a complete freshwater imaging package for compact fishing boats.

Key Features

- 7-inch 1024 x 600 color display – Provides a clear chart and sonar workspace in a compact helm.
- Standard Side Imaging and Down Imaging – Provides side-looking and downward structure views with the included transducer.
- Dual Spectrum CHIRP – Adds conventional fishfinding to the imaging sonar platform.
- XNT 9 HW SI T transducer included – Provides the hardware required for the listed sonar modes.
- Keypad control – Allows physical operation when spray, gloves, or boat movement make touch control less convenient.

Who Is This For?

This model suits bass boats, aluminum fishing boats, freshwater skiffs, and anglers who want Side Imaging and Down Imaging in a 7-inch package. The included transducer makes it suitable for a new installation.

It is not ideal for buyers who need live Forward and Down sonar, because the supplied sonar specification lists standard Side Imaging, Down Imaging, and Dual Spectrum CHIRP. It also has less screen area than the Garmin 9-inch LiveScope bundles.

Compatibility

Confirmed components include the XNT 9 HW SI T transducer, standard Side Imaging, Down Imaging, Dual Spectrum CHIRP, Humminbird Basemap, and keypad control. The supplied information does not identify NMEA 2000, NMEA 0183, radar, autopilot, WiFi, Bluetooth, or third-party chartplotter compatibility. No named incompatible system was provided; verify Humminbird accessory requirements before installation.

The HELIX 7 SI G4 is the simpler imaging alternative to the Garmin LiveScope bundles, with a single included transducer and no separate black box. It provides standard Side Imaging, Down Imaging, and Dual Spectrum CHIRP in a compact display. The trade-off is that it does not provide the real-time Forward and Down views of LiveScope, but installation is simpler and the system is easier to fit on a small freshwater boat.
