The Fischer Panda 5000i Neo is a variable-speed inverter marine diesel generator for 230V, 50Hz single-phase AC systems. It delivers up to 4 kW nominal output, or 5 kVA, with continuous output up to 3.6 kW. Its permanent-magnet inverter system allows the single-cylinder Fischer Panda FPE320 diesel engine to operate at approximately 2,500 to 3,250 RPM depending on electrical demand while maintaining stable AC voltage and frequency.
The generator is fully water cooled and enclosed in a Fischer Panda GFK 3DS sound-insulation capsule. It includes an iControl remote-control system with digital display and automatic start capability. It is intended for suitably designed onboard AC systems and requires complete integration with diesel fuel, cooling water, exhaust, ventilation, AC distribution, shore-power transfer, grounding, circuit protection, and starting-battery equipment.
Key Specifications
- Variable-speed inverter marine diesel generator for 230V single-phase 50Hz AC systems.
- Provides up to 4 kW nominal output, equivalent to 5 kVA, with up to 3.6 kW continuous output.
- Uses permanent-magnet inverter technology to stabilize output voltage and frequency.
- Uses a Fischer Panda FPE320 single-cylinder diesel engine with 309 cc displacement.
- Operates at approximately 2,500 to 3,250 RPM according to electrical load.
- Uses fully water-cooled engine and alternator components with a heat exchanger and raw-water circuit.
- Provides 230V output with stated voltage stability of approximately plus or minus 3% and frequency stability of approximately plus or minus 0.1 Hz.
- Measures approximately 434 mm by 456 mm by 519 mm and has a listed generator weight of approximately 67 kg, excluding the separate inverter module.
System Integration
This generator requires a complete marine AC installation including fuel supply and return, seawater intake and strainer, wet exhaust system, engine-room ventilation, starting battery, AC distribution, transfer switch or shore-power interlock, grounding and bonding, circuit breakers, and correctly rated cabling. The separate inverter module also requires an appropriately protected and serviceable mounting location.
Confirm that onboard equipment requires 230V, 50Hz single-phase power and that continuous demand remains within 3.6 kW. Consider simultaneous load, power factor, and motor-starting current from refrigeration, air conditioning, pumps, battery chargers, and galley equipment before selecting generator capacity.
Installation Considerations
Mount the generator and inverter module on secure vibration-isolated foundations with accessible service clearance. Provide safe exhaust routing, uninterrupted raw-water cooling, adequate ventilation, protected diesel plumbing, and correct electrical isolation from shore power. Test voltage, frequency, load response, cooling, exhaust integrity, iControl functions, shutdown protection, and transfer-switch operation during commissioning.
Before Ordering
Confirm required continuous and surge electrical load within 3.6 kW, 230V single-phase 50Hz compatibility, separate generator and inverter mounting space, diesel fuel-system layout, seawater intake, exhaust route, ventilation capacity, starting-battery circuit, remote-control cable route, AC distribution and transfer-switch design, grounding plan, service access, and qualified marine-generator installation requirements before purchase.
