The Fischer Panda 4000s Neo is a compact fixed-speed marine diesel generator for 230V, 50Hz single-phase onboard AC systems. It delivers 3.4 kW continuous output, or 4 kVA, at 3,000 RPM and uses a single-cylinder Fischer Panda FPE320 diesel engine with a synchronous alternator. The generator is enclosed in a sound-insulation capsule and is suited to vessels with modest continuous AC loads.
The unit uses dual-circuit freshwater and seawater cooling, a water-cooled alternator, and a remote iControl monitoring system. It requires a complete marine installation with fuel supply, raw-water intake, exhaust, ventilation, starting battery, AC distribution, shore-power transfer or interlock, grounding, and circuit protection. Confirm actual load and starting-surge requirements before selecting a 3.4 kW generator.
Key Specifications
- Fixed-speed compact marine diesel generator for 230V single-phase 50Hz AC power.
- Provides 3.4 kW continuous output, equivalent to 4 kVA.
- Uses a Fischer Panda FPE320 single-cylinder diesel engine with 309 cc displacement.
- Operates at 3,000 RPM for 50Hz output.
- Uses a dual-circuit freshwater and seawater heat-exchanger cooling system.
- Features a water-cooled alternator and engine housing with raw-water impeller pump.
- Measures approximately 558 mm by 460 mm by 518 mm and weighs approximately 92 kg.
- Includes iControl remote monitoring with low-oil-pressure and high-temperature protection.
System Integration
This generator requires an appropriately designed marine electrical and mechanical installation. Add diesel fuel feed and return plumbing, raw-water intake and strainer, wet exhaust components, ventilation, a start-battery circuit, AC distribution breakers, transfer switch or shore-power interlock, grounding and bonding, and correctly rated cabling.
Confirm that the boat uses 230V, 50Hz single-phase equipment and that normal running demand remains within the 3.4 kW continuous output. Account for starting surge from refrigeration compressors, pumps, battery chargers, air conditioning, galley appliances, and other motor-driven loads.
Installation Considerations
Mount the generator on a rigid vibration-isolated foundation with access for oil, filters, impeller, coolant, exhaust, electrical connections, and capsule service. Maintain reliable raw-water flow, safe exhaust routing, protected fuel plumbing, and adequate engine-room ventilation. Test output voltage, frequency, load response, cooling, alarms, automatic shutdowns, and shore-power isolation during commissioning.
Before Ordering
Confirm required continuous and surge load within 3.4 kW, 230V single-phase 50Hz compatibility, available 558 mm by 460 mm by 518 mm installation space, structural support for approximately 92 kg, diesel fuel-system layout, raw-water intake, exhaust route, ventilation capacity, starting-battery circuit, AC distribution and transfer-switch design, grounding plan, service access, and qualified marine-generator installation requirements before purchase.
