Miller Big Blue 400 Kubota Engine Driven Welder Generator (ID 15434)

Sub-zero mining maintenance crews relying on the Miller Big Blue 400 Kubota engine driven welder generator (ID 15434) eliminate cold-weather starting failure and hydraulic pump stalls during winter repairs. Freezing arctic temperatures gel diesel fuel and drain starter battery banks, paralyzing mobile service rigs on open mine pits. This cold-weather package equips the 400-amp industrial diesel welder with an engine block heater, cold-weather glow plugs, and a high-cranking battery system to mobilize crews in freezing weather.

The liquid-cooled Kubota V2403 diesel engine powers a 400-amp multi-process welder and a 12kW auxiliary generator, running induction preheating blankets and industrial lighting skids simultaneously. Carbon arc gouging circuitry burns 5/16-inch carbon rods to wash out cracked excavator bucket welds without bogging down engine speed. Heavy-gauge galvanized steel panels defend internal mechanical components from blowing snow and rough haul-road gravel.
