The Hyperlite Moab Wakesurf Board is Joey Harris’ signature surf-style board, built for intermediate through competition-level riders who want fast down-the-line flow, strong carving, and bigger airs on a properly shaped boat wave. Known as the Mother of All Boards, the Moab uses a lightweight EPS core, full-length natural wood stringer, and handcrafted epoxy composite lamination. Its deep single concave base, reverse tail channels, molded grab rails, and quad-fin design create a defined performance wakesurf configuration.
The board is available in 4’6″, 4’9″, and 5’0″ sizes. The 4’6″ provides 23.5 liters of volume and suits riders under 195 lb; the 4’9″ offers 25.14 liters for riders under 225 lb; and the 5’0″ supplies 28 liters for riders under 255 lb. A Futures quad-fin setup includes two 4.5-inch carbon front fins and two 1.7-inch trailer fins. Corduroy EVA traction and a high kicktail provide defined foot placement for active surf-style riding.
Key Features of Hyperlite Moab Wakesurf Board
- Joey Harris signature board: The Moab is Joey Harris’ pro model, shaped as a high-performance surf-style wakesurf board.
- EPS core with wood stringer: A lightweight EPS foam core and full-length natural wood stringer form the board’s internal structure and controlled flex profile.
- Handcrafted epoxy construction: High-strength epoxy composite lamination forms the outer shell around the EPS core and wood stringer.
- Deep single concave base: The concave hull and reverse tail water channels shape water flow beneath the board during down-the-line riding.
- Integrated grab rails: Molded deck and rail grips provide defined handholds for riders working on air grabs.
- Quad Futures fin system: The board uses Futures fin boxes with two 4.5-inch carbon front fins and two 1.7-inch drop trailer fins included.
- Corduroy EVA traction pad: Machined deck traction and a high kicktail provide a defined stance surface for surf-style wakesurf riding.
- Three rider-size options: Choose 4’6″ for riders under 195 lb, 4’9″ for riders under 225 lb, or 5’0″ for riders under 255 lb.
For Fast Surf-Style Wakesurfing
The Moab is designed for intermediate, advanced, and competition-level riders who want a surf-style wakesurf board for fast carving, down-the-line flow, and air-oriented riding behind a properly equipped surf boat. Choose the 4’6″ size for riders under 195 lb, the 4’9″ for riders under 225 lb, or the 5’0″ for riders under 255 lb. Set the quad fins securely in the Futures boxes, use the high kicktail for defined rear-foot position, and ride only on a properly shaped wakesurf wave.
Why Choose Hyperlite Moab Wakesurf Board
The Moab provides a performance surf-style board with a clear set of rider-focused features: EPS construction, a wood stringer, handcrafted epoxy lamination, deep single concave, reverse tail channels, molded grab rails, quad Futures fins, and corduroy traction. Its three size and volume options give riders practical choices based on body weight, while the included front and trailer fins remove the need to source a separate initial quad-fin setup. It is built for riders who prioritize speed, carving flow, and active board control.
Warranty and Product Care
The Hyperlite Moab Wakesurf Board includes a 1-year limited manufacturer warranty, subject to applicable terms, conditions, and exclusions. Inspect the board, epoxy shell, rails, traction pad, fin boxes, fins, and hardware before every session. Rinse the board and fins with fresh water after use, dry them before storage, avoid prolonged direct heat, and do not ride with cracked, delaminated, damaged, or loose components.
