Overview

When the ECM Elektronika II Profi Switchable Espresso Machine was revealed to us, we were immediately intrigued by its strong preference for automatic controls. Dedicated volumetric brewing buttons are a feature you don’t commonly see in the prosumer market, where manual control is often key. However, considering ECM’s philosophy on innovative design, it’s no surprise that something so bold could emerge. This machine redefines convenience while maintaining professional-grade performance.

Features and Performance

With the Elektronika II Profi, you can expect all of ECM’s signature features. This includes clear dual-pressure gauges for monitoring both brew and steam, a classic E61 group head, smooth joystick-controlled water valves, and a sleek, rounded-edge housing that exudes elegance. The robust rotary pump works in perfect combination with the Elektronika II’s sound-absorbing design to make brewing an almost nearly silent experience, ensuring your coffee ritual doesn’t disturb your household.

Convenient Volumetric Control

However, the true convenience of this machine is found in its array of volumetric controls. These intuitively designed buttons automatically dispense pre-programmed volumes of espresso, and they can be easily reprogrammed to your precise preference. We’ve found this feature to be especially handy when preparing lattes; simply press a button to initiate the brew and confidently focus on steaming your milk simultaneously, without needing to constantly monitor the shot. For moments when you desire a little more direct interaction, manual brewing is still a readily available option.

Why You Should Get It

The ECM Elektronika II Profi Switchable Espresso Machine is a fantastic choice for anyone who frequently hosts guests who may not be as experienced with pulling a shot, or for busy individuals who want to multitask while their drink is prepared. Because brewing is fully automatic, you won’t need to keep a constant eye on your espresso extraction while you expertly froth milk. For moments when you desire more control, manual brewing remains an available option, giving you the best of both worlds. This machine represents a perfect blend of high-end performance, striking aesthetics, and unparalleled convenience, making it an excellent addition to any home or light commercial setting.
