Overview

The Bezzera DUO DE Espresso Machine Stainless is a true marvel, masterfully blending tradition with modern elements to deliver a pain-free brewing experience that consistently impresses. Similar to the Matrix DE model, the DUO DE features an intuitive touchscreen display that gives you precise control over both brew and steam boiler temperatures by adjusting their respective PIDs. What sets it apart and makes it a step up from previous models is the crucial addition of a third PID, which automatically regulates the temperature in Bezzera’s specially designed, electronically heated group head, ensuring unparalleled thermal stability for every shot.

Features and Performance

With just a few clicks on the touchscreen, you can effortlessly program the machine to turn on and off at specific times, switch between reservoir and plumbed operation, and initiate maintenance backflushing cycles. A significant upgrade from the MN version, the DUO DE’s volumetric brewing capability is a favorite feature. You can program four different shot volumes for consistent output, or choose to brew manually, as Bezzera is all about providing options.

Flexible Operation and Automation

The DUO DE offers the flexibility to choose between plumbed-in operation (connecting directly to your water line) or using its internal water reservoir. A new addition is the ability to select which boiler has priority during heat-up. Alternatively, you can simply program your DUO DE to turn on automatically before you wake up, ensuring it’s ready to help you face the day as soon as you are.

The Bezzera DUO DE features the same automated pre-infusion found on the Matrix DE model, ensuring optimal coffee puck saturation and flavor extraction. Operation remains incredibly easy thanks to the intuitive push-button and toggle controls, each function clearly designated by a stylized icon. Steaming is also a breeze; the rosewood steam knob toggles on for powerful steaming, and flipping it up locks it into place for an uninterrupted stream, allowing you to create perfect microfoam. We’ve found that by taking the time to dial in the pre-infusion and shot times, you can achieve truly amazing shots just by pressing one of those brew buttons. Of course, you also have the freedom to brew manually and experiment as you wish.

Why You Should Buy It

The Bezzera DUO DE Espresso Machine Stainless is as dynamic as it is reliable, promising to be a steadfast companion for years to come. The touchscreen display is a genuine pleasure to use, offering a surprisingly deep level of functionality and precise control over every aspect of your brew. The electrically heated group head significantly supplements temperature stability, which is already exceptional thanks to the machine’s dual boilers. Finally, the volumetric controls are a huge benefit for anyone who desires the power and precision of a prosumer machine but also appreciates the convenience of automatic, repeatable brewing. It’s the ultimate choice for a sophisticated and effortless home espresso experience.
