Thoughtful additions such as included double and bottomless portafilters, a truly usable tamper, and an updated design with refined branding demonstrate Bezzera’s keen attention to the features that matter most to home baristas. Cut from the same high-performing cloth as machines like the BZ10, the Aria maintains a remarkably slim profile, measuring under 8 inches wide.

Features and Performance

Internally, the Aria is meticulously designed, housing a number of premium components that deliver both precision control and convenience. The undisputed standout feature is its NSF-certified Fluid-O-Tech rotary pump. This pump operates with a whisper-quiet hum while brewing and can achieve an impressive maximum flow rate of 13.5 grams per second during extraction. The heat exchanger boiler boasts a 1.5-liter capacity and is crafted from durable copper, a material of choice for Bezzera. Temperature is precisely regulated via a PID controller, allowing for adjustments in fine 1-degree increments. For enhanced thermal stability, the boiler is fitted with a pair of eco brass endplates and thoughtfully wrapped in insulation.

Striking Aesthetics and Ergonomic Controls

On the exterior, the Aria’s housing features an attractive pattern of square cut-outs, adding a modern touch. Bezzera’s classic “Biscione” heraldry logo is as fierce as ever, presented with a 3D textured design that roars with life on the back panel. The Aria utilizes a pair of joystick-operated steam and hot water wands, equipped with spring-loaded valves that can be quickly tapped for short bursts or locked in place for continuous flow, depending on your preference.

Precision Flow Control

While brewing, water flow from the pump to the group can be meticulously controlled via the E61 flow control device. This device features a design unique to Bezzera machines, with an oversized knob that makes profiling flow simple and highly ergonomic. This allows you to easily repeat your desired extraction profiles, offering unparalleled control over your espresso’s flavor.
